I think it was all for the cause of AIDS and poverty, but don't recall the details. The Church should be involved in helping to alleviate such suffering, but ungodly alliances are never warranted. What fellowship does light have with darkness? There is nothing lacking in the power of God working through His people and His Church that needs to be supplied by this evil world system.Philhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10465988205120053926noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30991724.post-66829639544665800342008-01-17T20:34:00.000-06:002008-01-17T20:34:00.000-06:00Dear Guests:I have just been informed that Jeremy ...Dear Guests:

I have just been informed that Jeremy Myers has written what amounts to a "spiritual obituary" at his Till He Comes blog.

I have not had an opportunity to read it myself, but I hear it is disheartening to read how he is moving to a "Christless" life.

LMLou Martuneachttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08683967904677815711noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30991724.post-5715191445551543592008-01-14T08:57:00.000-06:002008-01-14T08:57:00.000-06:00Hi Kev:Thanks for letting your guests know about t...Hi Kev:

Thanks for letting your guests know about this article. That is typically accompanied by a bent toward ecumenical compromise for the sake of discussing divergent views of major doctrines found in the Word of God.

In April 2007 a fairly high profile man, Bible college professor, in Fundamental Baptist circles made a sudden shift in his ecclesiastical affiliation. He announced his departure from the Independent Fundamental Baptist (IFB) circles, and joined the Willow Creek Community Church (WCCC). The WCCC and Rick Warren’s (Purpose Driven Life) Saddleback Church are two of the best known, most egregious examples of the Church Growth movement. Ironically, this man had been conducting seminars at IFB venues refuting the philosophy of the Church Growth movement. I prepared the article below because I wanted to encourage anyone who might be teetering toward a similar move to rethink his options.

Jeremy Myers’ article, The Heretic in Me and his participation at a blog dedicated to skepticism of all biblical truth renewed my concerns. Not just for Jeremy but for those who may be headed toward or already on the path he seems to have embarked upon.

I wrote the following article for the Sharper Iron blog to share my heart about the danger of taking even the slightest step of cooperation with or compromise toward unbelieving and/or disobedient brethren and their movements that are antithetical to the Scriptures. In my opinion, that article is needed today, and is the reason I have reprinted it here.

LMLou Martuneachttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08683967904677815711noreply@blogger.com
