We do ourselves a great disservice when we ignore, ridicule, or otherwise pay no attention to our older men who have traveled the paths, fought in former battles, and are quite aware of the pitfalls that lay ahead.Brianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08924581374605153929noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30991724.post-51625938598704088112012-05-23T07:57:56.460-05:002012-05-23T07:57:56.460-05:00Site Publisher Commentary:

That practice is common place and welcomed at sites like Sharper Iron and its Blogroll members. Dr. Kevin Bauder has often done that very thing to the men from our heritage. In 2009 he did a series in which he besmirched and impugned men with terms such as “‘pugilistic and bellicose,’ ‘alpha males,’ ‘the big boys,’ ‘bullies,’ ‘chieftains.”

See- This Article for details and additional examples. Kevin Bauder’s pattern has been to castigate Fundamentalism, rewrite its history and heap lavish praise on the so-called “conservative” evangelicals. Dave Doran, Matt Olson and Tim Jordan are in the same vein as Bauder which is to seek closer ties with evangelicals by redefining and/or casting off the God given mandates for separation from aberrant doctrine, worldliness and ecumenical compromise. We are at a cross roads, and likely beyond that point as we consider these things today. The only question remaining in just how far into full blown New Evangelicalism will the younger generation go who have been influenced by Bauder, Doran, Olson and Jordan.Lou Martuneachttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08683967904677815711noreply@blogger.com
